LAST EDITED ON Mar-22-08 AT 04:27PM (MST)[p] I was looking into putting in for a late archery hunt either mule deer or coues, it really doesn't matter. I know 2B and 2C are supposed to be great areas for muleys but wanted other choices to consider. I have no problem backpacking or hunting on foot that is what I prefer. I'm not really much of a trophy hunter but would like to see some nice deer. Also, I will be hunting public land so I would probably need a decent amount of public property. If any of you have any experience with the late archery seasons hunting coues or muleys please let me know because the deadline is nearing, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well I can't say from experience because I have never been on the archery hunts, but I was told by a guy last year when inquiring on similar information that the 2B late hunt is really good and that any of those late archery hunts offered are good because you will see bucks (being thr rut). He said don't disregard any of the January archery hunts and to choose by picking draw percentages(in order to ensure better draw odds per choice)for your choices. His thoughts were some of the units with the best draw odds were actually the best archery units out there, with the exception of 2b. Good luck.
