Beaver Bulls

I'm hoping to draw a Beaver LE muzzy tag in the next couple of years. I thought I would do some scouting this year and buy a spike tag just in-case the opportunity presented itself. I'm wondering where the elk are the first week of October? Are they up on top still or have they moved down at all? I've seen some while deer hunting, but haven't spent much time at higher elevations and haven't seen any bruisers. I'm hoping they will still be rutting a little bit at that time. Just looking for some guidance. Feel free to PM me. Thanks!

LAST EDITED ON Sep-16-15 AT 08:55PM (MST)[p]Man I haven't seen many post asking for advice that people don't reply. Usually people are happy to help! As for your question...My buddy went to Beaver a few years ago on the late hunt and he was surprised at how high the elk still were. Unfortunately the rut will be all but over by then. If it were me, I would look into an area called big twist. I spent some time up there scouting with him and it was an awesome area! The elk are up there you just have to be willing to do some hiking. There are some mean 4 wheeler trails up there too. I saw a guy roll his Polaris. Anyway good luck! Hope you can get into them!
