Hey I am new to the site and noticed people posting there mount pictures. I killed this buck in 2007 in colorado. When I shot the buck it rolled nearly 200 feet down a cliff and completely ripped the velvet to shreds. I was devastated to say the least. My friend Curtis at Monarch Mountain Taxidermy did the mount and re-atttached most of the velvet and gave it a fresh shedding velvet look. He also has some huge bucks he has mounted from this year I'll see if I can grab some photos and post for you.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-26-08 AT 03:08AM (MST)[p]Couple things, gorgious mount you have there! i really like how the ears are up near to the bottom of those heavy main beams.

I kept going back and looking at this mount until i finally figured out something that bugged me. The cape, aside from the wide spread ears, it looks very similar to that of a mature Blacktail... to me anyway. No disrespect intended.

Curtis is also doing a velvet mount for me right now of my archery book cliffs buck from last year. I'll post pics when he finishes it in a couple weeks. He does an awesome job, and would recommend him to anyone. He is located in South Jordan,UT, and his number is 518-2033.
