NV 2nd Choice ?

If you draw a hunt in Nevada that's not your 1st choice pick, do they still take your points? Thanks.

Yep I really hate the way nevada handles multiple choices though, but thats because i have spacific areas i like to hunt a lot of people dont and just want a tag anyware so i guess its good for them!

You lose your points whether it is your first or any other choice that is drawn. Small price to pay for such a great bonus point system. Nevada's is the best, IMO.

Ditto Elkballs. You do not have to put all 5 choices in. Been applying since before their PP system and ALWAYS put all choices in. Any Nevada tag is a good one!!

I have drawn 2nd or 3rd choices over the years...so be realistic in your choices.

Do what you want. But I will have all 5 choices down. I think Nevada has a great system for there draw. Everyone has a chance even with 0 points. But if you don't draw you get more chances the next time. I have 0 points and I think I have a good chance to hunt but It might be with a bow, muzzy, or rifle I just like to hunt. Some areas are better than others but I just can't wait that long.

I sat down at the computer and did my son's and my applications last night. 14 hunts total, as we both apply for everything they offer. Did BP for the kid on some hunts, as the dates conflict with college, but applied for tags on all 7 hunts I applied for. On most, I used all five choices, as I'd really like to get a NV tag this year.
