Hey guys, I posted this in the taxidermy section, but figured I might get more responses here. Anyone care to share pics of shoulder mounts for low ceilings? I will have 10' ceilings in my new house, which aren't super low, but still low for an elk.

I know there's a lot of full sneak poses with the bull bugling, but I'm not sure I want a mouth-open mount. Anyway, just thought I'd see what y'all had. I know I can always do a floor pedestal, but I'd rather have him on the wall. Thanks!

I have 7ft ceilings in my house, so mine was a challenge (especially with 20+ inch 4s). However, I think it turned out great and looks good. I like having it at eye level.

HJB that mount looks awesome. I hope you are never walking around in that room if the power goes out. Those front's will take an eye out :)

Beautiful mount but I was thinking the same thing. Just a matter of time till someone needs safety glasses.

Just throw some tennis balls on those eye poppers and maybe some caution tape for the little ones and you'll be good to go!

Nice mount!

The two fake trees there make it an interesting display, very nice.

I have 10 ft ceilings and 2 elk mounts. No problems. I'd post a couple pics but I'm very techno-challenged lol. One hangs above the stairway which gives a little extra room. The other is a 90 degree turn with head back so the antlers go straight back from his head.

HJB, that's a sharp looking mount! Any idea how tall the mount is from the brisket to his tallest tine? My bull has 20"+ royals as well, so should be pretty comparable to yours. Stopped by the taxi again today and he's going to throw my antlers on a spare form he's got laying around and let me take it home to see how it works. Fingers crossed it fits somewhere. I was really hoping I could hang him above the fireplace, but I'm pretty certain I don't have the room.
