First bull!

I managed to draw a LE muzzy tag with only 4 points. I scouted hard, 16+ days but struggled finding Big Bulls. The first few days of hunting were slow with not much rutting activity but on the 3rd day we had multiple Bulls within 50 yards just couldn't get them to come out into the open. On the 4th evening we jumped a cow heading to some water we cow called to calm her down and within 20 minutes had her bull coming up the hill towards us, my dad said he was shooter so when the bull paused at 75 yards I took the shot and dropped him. Although he's definetley not the biggest bull on the mountain he was the second best bull we saw and I worked my butt off for him and this was definetley the most fun I've ever had on a hunt! I can't wait until I get to hunt elk again with a muzzleloader!

My bull all finished up.

Congrats on a great bull! Can't go wrong with a euro mount with the light skull and dark antlers.

Good for you, congratulations. Thanks for sharing the pictures and the story. That 1st pic, perfect. I can almost smell the grass, the leaves, the BULL! Even the bull is smiling in that pic.

Awesome way to get it done, together with the family! You all will be smiling about that one for years! Congrats!!

Logan,

I ended up with a decent bull. Not the biggest I had seen (not by a long shot) and I didn't capitalize on a few opportunities. On one afternoon I had a 340+ beaded bull at 50 yard for over 1/2 hour. He was screaming from his bed and I thought I had him but he got up and followed a cow through the only area I had not ranged. I ended up taking this bull the last morning of my hunt. He came into 35 yards screaming and I couldn't pass him up. In all it was a great hunt were I passed on 17 + bulls. I had several times where we called in multiple bulls at once. There are a few bulls that will always haunt me from that hunt.

Congrats on the lucky tag draw with only 4 points. Way to make it count and thanks for sharing your story and success with the rest of us. :)
