I was hoping Michelle my daughter would sign up and get her own account . But I don't think that is going to happen. So I will post up some pictures of her first bull elk ! Founder I also sent you a email for the contest. I hope you got it? She past a lot of Bulls on the hunt . She lived and worked on the mountain. She set up cameras and had video of some nice Bulls. She and other had been watching a big 7 x 7 that went 394 with 63 inch main beams. The week before the hunt it got killed on a Cwmu. Then her friend Cassidy had been hunting a beautiful 6 x6 that he was hunting on the archery hunt. He disappeared during the archery hunt. But we found him the opening evening of the rifle heading down to water at dusk. We stayed in that area for two days but couldn't turn him up. He was killed on Monday night. We didn't get the info that he got killed across the valley until Wednesday afternoon. She passed on Bulls Thursday. Then we had a little talk. There are no more 390 Bulls left time to start shooting. So Friday morning she missed a good bull. Somehow my turret got turn the wrong way on my rifle. Saturday morning a beaver put down a tree across the trail. So she was late on a bull that her friends had been watching. So Saturday I told her the Bulls start moving at two. Go get in the hills so at 2:30 her friend called in a bull and she shot it at 25 yards. She said she wished she had her bow. Here are s few pictures.

That's a great bull, and especially as a first bull, she's been spoiled. :) Congrats on what sounds like an awesome hunt..!!

>How did a tree across the
>trail slow you down? mtmuley

One of the 6 x 6 Bulls was low in the morning by a creek. We acsessed the area from a 50 inch trail. At one of the pinch points lava rock on one side. Water on the other. The beaver dropped a tree across the road. With no chain saw it was tough to get it off the trail. So the other guys went in from the front side and where watching the bull waiting for our shooter to show up. At first light the bull was 300 yards for qwite a while . By the time she got there the bull was running off a spike. When she got there the bull start move up the hill. She only had a Texas heart shot and passed on the shot, Of course. We found the bull several times in the same area. We found him this weekend. But no spikes where with him. He also broke of his third on one side. I will try to post up a picture of him. I have been having a tough posting up pictures with my new phone for some reason.

We haven't had time to put a tape on him yet. We know he is a great bull for the unit he came off of. We have a pretty good idea of what he scores. But we didn't want to post up a number. There are some many people posting up 360 inch five point bulls. I guess its a internet thing? Put a number on it and if it makes you feel good great, go with it. But we don't hunt elk for inches. They are beautiful animals cape and all. Its so much fun interacting with them. On many of a deer hunt. I would get into a heard of elk and forget all about deer hunting. I know this is the wrong forum for making this confusion on, this isn't Monster Elk. I will tell you what my daughter said when I asked her what he scored. She said, well it isn't no 390 bull. But he is beautiful !

Congrats on a great bull Michelle!! Sounds like a good time John i am glad you guys got it done on such a great bull even if it is a farm bull. I will send you the bill later haha. congrats again to all involved.

Predator there isnt any elk on the FL this one was farm raised just ask John, if he says it wasnt dont believe him.

Predator, I never said it was on FL. That was you ! If it was a farm bull Tay Tay it would be much bigger. Even for a girls first bull. ;-)
Thanks for the other nice comments ! It was a great time for our family she had her big brothers up there a uncle and a few friends.
For the record there are no bulls on Fish lake ! Well anymore :)

> No Bessy he is just a good 340 to 350ish bull. We have been busy hunting. So we still haven't put all of the number together. That would a true number. No measuring the sixth point on a six point bull or measuring his base for a mass measurement. No internet scoring here. But still a great bull so the number is just going to be a number.
