Kaibab Buck

Well most everyone here remembers this buck. There has been a lot of talk and rumors about it. Well he got the mount back a bit ago and just had it officially scored this last Friday. It ended up netting 233NT. I couldn't believe the size and mass of this thing. The picture with the smaller buck shows the difference between a normal buck and that thing.

What a buck! See that confirms what I've been saying in other sites.

There are big bucks taken on the late west side Kaibab hunt that will rival anything taken on the Strip.

In 07 it kinda worked out like this. There were 85 permits on the Strip with a hunt success of almost 50%. Of those 42 bucks taken, only 12 of them were 30" or scored 200 points!.

On the late Kaibab there were 175 permits and a 70+ hunt success.

Of those 90 or so bucks taken on that hunt, again 12 were 30" or over or scored 200.

Just better odds to get one on the Strip that one the Kaibab, but the bruisers are there!

Congrats again on that great buck. Heard there was quite a story that goes with him to.

Guess it will be in MM?

No matter how it happened, this is true buck of a lifetime.

Some day I hope to be looking through my sights on a buck like that. I just hope I can finish like he did and not like the guy on american pie.
