Have max points and I think I should draw out for the bookcliff unit Elk. And I want to hire a guide and read some mixed reviews about Flying J outfitters. Her prices are good. Just curious if any of you hired her at this season and what was your experience

I would put in for the Bitter Creek unit unless you are set on the roadless. Hire dropping outfitters. They will get you a 370+ bull

Fast19, We at GT Outfitters would love to talk with you about your hunt. The Book Cliffs are home for us. We hunt both Book Cliffs units and have guided in the roadless area for years. We were able to get our roadless rifle hunter on a 375" bull this year.

I've hunting the Book Cliffs several times. It's a great area. For my Expo elk tag, I hunted with Shawn Labrum of Wild Mountain Outfitters. He is well known for all the trophy animals he has guided people in the Book Cliffs. Shawn went the extra mile when it comes to service and communication, too. We hunted an area for elk and didn't see another hunter. That's rare for the Book Cliffs. He has guided there for 25 years and knows it like the back of his hand.
