West Desert Vernon Deer

Hey All,

I'm pretty new to MM and decided that I should join all the fun on the forums. Anyway, I drew an Archery tag this year for the Vernon unit and was wondering if anyone had any tips or strategies. I have already done some hiking around in the foothills and have found some sheds but nothing too big. I live out in Eagle Mountain so it's only about a 30 min drive over there. If anyone has hunted the unit or knows any deer patterns or tendencies if would be helpful. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just sent you a Private Message (PM), congrats on drawing a unit that is very sentimental to me, it is where my father hunted in his youth and shot his first big 4x4 at age 16....

It is def. a great area! I have had the pleasure of hunting or being on hunts with my dad on the unit several times. Luckily we will be back on the muzz hunt this year!
