My dad's dream has always been to get an elk with his bow! We have elk hunted several times (mostly otc) and I have been fortunate to get several elk but it has never quite worked out for my dad. If something would have worked just a tiny bit different for him a couple times it would have came together but that is hunting. He is almost 71 now but is in pretty good health and it would mean more to me if he got a 4x4 or 5x5 with his bow then if I got a 400 incher! I didn't know if anyone would have an idea of a fairly easy hunt I could find for him or help him on? I don't know if anybody has an idea of possibly a private land voucher with access to hunting over a water hole with a blind or a treestand or something like that where it wouldn't be quite so physically demanding or not? I know it sounds like a tall order it would just mean so much to me if I could help get my Dad an elk with his bow while he still can. Thank you so much for even taking time to read this.

What State(s) are you considering?

We would be interested in probably any state except I know how preference points figure in. Also, I realize nothing is free but we definitely do not have an unlimited budget. I would like to be able to pay for part or all of it and be able to go along to be with him and maybe even help him.

Talk to some people about a landowner tag in Colorado.
Be very specific about what you will need for your father to be successful. I'm sure you can find a situation that fits your needs and is relatively reasonable cost wise as it sounds like the inches harvested doesn't mean much but it is more about the experience.
