Has anyone hunted archery elk with R&K before?...or know what CWMU's they run?

I have an out of state buddy that is thinking of booking with them. Anyone know what he might expect or where he would hunt?

I talked with Justin Richins about a rifle elk hunt a few months back. He said for several reasons they don't give info on the cwmu ranches. It was a pretty expensive hunt. They sold the 2 spots we were thinking about a few days after I talked with him. They take some impressive animals. If you google Utah cwmu list you can see who has what and how many tags. If you click on them it shows a map. I don't know how current the list is. That's all I know if that's any help.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-05-16 AT 07:55PM (MST)[p]I would guess they don't give out info because they don't want to commit to a certain cwmu. They buy tags from other CWMU around N. Utah that they don't operate. When the hunter booked he was told one thing, then hunts a cwmu that isn't ran by R&K and not even close to the quality talked about.
R&K can buy these tags cheap, and charge the hunter a premium because of their name. The TV show hosts are treated real nice.

That's what worried me about booking. If I would of had an answer on the cwmu I probably would of done it. Justin said on the hunt we were looking at 100% on 320-340 bulls. You can't really research anything without a name and or location. It was pretty damn expensive for just taking his word.

Simply as for some references from previous hunts.

Contact them----go from there on your decision.

My wife drew a CWMU tag last year for deer on one of their properties. I have nothing but good to say about these people. I really liked how they run their operation to a public hunter. I would imagine the guy paying money would get even better treatment.
