When do the deer get done growing?

So when will the deer be done growing I usually don't like to scout until they are done growing.

Depends on a couple of things feed being the most important genetics plays a part, and the weather if we hit an early fall you will see velvet shed early. but usually they are fully developed by mid august maybe a little later

I agree, it us usually just before they start shedding their velvet which is any time between mid Aug to mid Sept.

Naw Andy.. that when there bellys start to grow and they get swaybacked....

Depends on a number of things, including where they are. My friend hunts coastal blacktails in cali and their hunt starts in August, and by mid sept they are rutting, it takes another 6-8 weeks for the bucks here in Idaho.

here in utah my feeling is that by july 24th they have grown 90-95% of the finished product
