Wyoming is statring

Successful for a buck and 2 doe tags in area 92. My son has 2 doe tags for the same area. Looks like we'll be whackin and stackin in September!

Just found out I will be hunting buck antelope in unit 112-1.
Anyone that has hunted this unit recently and would not mind sharing a little info please pm me.
Thanks and good luck on your Wyoming draws this year.

Unsuccessful antelope.

Nothing this year for me so all that is left is an OTC Elk tag in Colorado this fall.

Congrats to those who did draw and especially dwalton and his son have a good hunt this year.

Region D deer and area 48 for goats. I can't wait!! Sorry to those that didn't draw....there's always next year. Hopefully tags don't jump another 20% by then!! It's gettin' ridiculous.

Another state and another big fat UNSUCCESSFUL on Antelope.

My bad luck continues!!

Good luck to all who drew,

Cory

It's leftovers for me.I have not drew a license since they started the point system, always have to buy leftovers.

82-1 is arguably the best license in the state. Go the last 5 days and you should have a chance to whack a stud.

And to all that did not draw, there are some pretty darned good licenses left over. They posted the deer, elk and antelope leftover lists yesterday. Some of those are good options.

I drew my first choice antelope license, but it's not a tough draw. I'll just do over the counter for deer. No elk for me. Good luck to all.

LAST EDITED ON Jun-27-08 AT 07:14AM (MST)[p]It is a good tag if you are looking to see numbers of deer and numbers of people. That entire region is not near as good as it once was, too many tags! There are still a handful of good, not monsters, but good deer that come from there every year. The problem is that it gets over hunted. As is the case with anywhere if you get out of the truck and do some hiking you might be pleasantly surprised.

Here is the deer I took in 2007 from 82! Notice the pack frame in the center right of the photo. This is how it has to be done out there, too many people driving up and down the roads.

ODDNUT 1 Yea went with the special tag .Noticed last year about 50% draw odds for max pt holders ,region H 2nd choice. Pricey, now got to plan around AZ bow bull and WY lope. Might have to eat the H tag.

That's cool. Figured when they closed the loophole regarding all 1st choice apps looked at before 2nd choice we wouldn't see anyone draw 2nd choice on a unit like H. The special priced tag makes sense. Sounds like you have a fun decision with all those tags. Good luck this fall.

I agree that a little effort and getting out of truck and doing some hiking can make a lot difference in regard to what you will see while hunting.

Congrats on the Wyoming unit 82 buck.

I am hoping to hunt that unit someday soon too.

In 2008 there are only 10 tags for 82-1 so the number of hunters will not be a problem. 2 non. res, 8 res and 4-5 commissioners tag hunters.

Crazy4Elk did you draw deer doe or antelope does?
