I was lucky enough to take this bull in Idaho on Saturday morning. I had been out hunting solo since opening day (Tuesday). I had gotten in on a few other smaller bulls that I decided not to shoot but when I called this guy in I only had about 2 seconds to determine whether or not to shoot... It only took me 1 second to decide.

I hunt, therefore I am. Harvest the land. Taking of the fallen
lamb.

Beautiful bull. Idaho keeps looking better and better to me. I might need to give it a try. Congratulations.

A full second to decide? What took you so LONG? ha

Great bull and even sweeter with a stick-n-string!

Congrats,
Zeke

That is really cool. He's a big one! Good for you.

Heck yea, You got yourself a good one right there. I really like those dark horns any burn area's close by, I killed a buck a long time ago that had dark black horns and it was from rubbing those burnt trees grabbing on them left soot on your hands.

Just got back from helping my buddy try and get his elk.... Called in quite a few bulls but nothing quite worth shooting, he's hoping for a 330+ bull and the biggest we've gotten in is about a 290 6 point. and a big 5 point that I think would go about 310" We'll be back after it all next week, hopefully I'll have another pic of a nice bull to share.

I couldn't believe how dark and well polished his horns were so early. No burn areas around but there is a lot of water and tons of Wallows so I think he spent a lot of time sticking his horns in the mud and polishing them on the trees.
