Pahvant Bull locations

If you want to find Bulls on Pahvant here's the down low. Most of the Bulls live on the south end. From May-August most of them hang out in Peavine canyon. I've seen well over 50 Bulls in one day of glassing and they live from the top to bottom of that canyon. Some are in the adjoining canyons east and west occasionally. There's a good glassing point 3/4 down or out on a rock ledge with a short hike midway. After they rub most of them head south and west but stop just short of the main road. There's some CMWU but I've seen tons of Bulls just off of it on the north and west sides. This CMWU is where all the outfitters kill their big Bulls. By far the best area to watch big Bulls in July and the rut is amazing here. A couple trail cams in the 3 or 4 water holes that are from midway to 3/4 up in this canyon will catch 80 percent of the Bulls that live on Pahvant! Another 1 or 2 in the next canyon on water to the west will get you 85 percent, just look for old closed road midway on peavine and walk 1/2 mile west on same level. Good luck.

Did someone piss you off and you decided to get back at them by posting their honey hole?

Or
Are you messing with people that may have that tag

Or
Your really trying to help people out?

If I had that tag I would hope it the later. (But I will never get enough points to draw)

Well, if you can't guarantee me a spot with GPS coordinates to find atleast 86-87% of the Bulls , then I'm not buying it.

I'm thinking Vanilla, you may have cracked the case.

I'm always amazed at stupidity with some people. You try to help out some guys and that's the response you get. I run into alot of guys who get these tags and are totally lost and just want to have a good hunt and see Elk but don't know where to go and who cares if it ruins the hunts for the guides. But every word of my post is true and I see some of you know it! But hey don't take my word for it go see for yourself.

Just trying to help people out. I get asked a lot about Pahvant, and yes that is Some of the outfitters Honey hole, but it doesn't hurt them they can hunt the CMWU we can't. It's funny though you give away the biggest honey hole on Pahvant and the long knives come out. Maybe next I'll give away Duttons or Boulders!

I tell you what, I'd love to have that info, pm me if you want.

So if he gave advice to a certain area in the pahvant, sounds like only a few would benefit, cause I'm not sure how many people have max points, cause that's about what it takes to draw it. I'd just say thanks for the advice!!! I have 19 points and I don't have a tag, but when I do I appreciate your tips ?

Kind of an unusual post I would agree... The Pahvant is one of the easiest mountain there is to learn for elk, anyone who puts in any effort can find lots of bulls and a few nice ones while scouting, not really giving up much for secrets here. To each there own. Such a high point unit to draw, I would have no problem sharing info on such a unit and would be surprised if many others didn't feel the same way.

I've been putting in for a NR Pahvant tag for almost 2 decades, and I'm still years away.
Thanks for the advice, if i EVER draw it, a good starting point.

80% of the Pahvant Bulls live in Peavine Canyon???

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA

All this post is going to do is push all those bulls from peavine onto the Missouri Flat CWMU. J&J outfitters has got to be loving this post!

Wow I can't believe this guy! If you are "trying help people out" then post that you would be willing to help out anyone who is looking and use the PM, that's why it's there. There is no reason to flood the internet with exaggerations about an area. Yeah that's a good area, but it's not the only area the big bulls are found. My guess is that Tracker77 has a tag and wants to lure the gullible tag holders that don't know the mtn into that area so that he can have some privacy in his Pahvant "honeyhole". The fact is the Pahvant is a great unit top to bottom with plenty of big bulls all over. This guy's a moron.

So 84, do you think every guy that drew a tag just read his post and is heading for that specific canyon? ? Your a moron

Cooper I didn't say every hunter would head for that canyon. Anyone who knows the Pahvant knows that the entire mtn is great elk hunting. I am just trying to put some reason to why someone would post that kind of information that's all. Like I said the entire unit is great. So why would someone over exaggerate the best known area of the unit?

I'm thinking it's been announced as a go to spot because a particular outfitter or two spend a fair amount of time there. But it's just like you said, that entire mountain is over ran with Bulls and there are many places just as good or even better than the one that just went viral. The outfitters know this too.
