What promised to be an amazing year has been a little bit of a let down. Not too uncommon to bow hunting, there were ups and downs along the way. With two Utah LE tags for the Manti unit, we had high hopes. Lots of opportunities on mature bulls, including a couple big boys, the hunt came to an end with neither of the tags being filled. My brother and brother in law both gave it a good effort and in the end, came up just short of killing. Here is a clip of one of those golden opportunities:

Just after that hunt ended, I decided to run up onto the Extended to give it a shot. I'm not really sure how I got so lucky, but I did. I know it's not much for most, but it meant (and means) the world to me as it was my first ever big game kill with my recurve. Another short clip of that...

Enjoy,

Bryce

congrats, I really miss hunting with my ol recurve, I don't have the shoulders to do it anymore, after 35 years of flipping sticks with it. It always did mean a lot to me, My father and I used to buy cedar shafts and build our own arrows. From that i started reloading ammo, building my own muzzle loaders, tieing my own flies and building fishing rods from blanks. So i do understand where you are coming from again congrats
