These pictures were emailed to me the other day. I don't know if they have already been posted on MM or not. I cropped out the guy in the pictures because I don't know who he is & I didn't have permission to post them. I don't know where the email originated from. I hope I am in the clear by posting them. I just couldn't help but post a monster muley!!

Anyway, the email stated this buck was harvested in Northern Utah last year.

Does anyone know anything about this buck? If so, let's hear the story. My guess is the location was false & it was actually harvested in Colorado. If this is actually a northern Utah buck, it's obvious I am not the only one cropping the picture!!

Well couldn't have been shot recently considering the mount is about 20 years old.

That is kind of what I thought. Or maybe the taxidermy just isn't very good. I didn't want to say that for fear of offending the taxidermist in case it is a newer mount.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-18-08 AT 06:39AM (MST)[p]gateopener...what tells you that mount is 20 years old?

I have saw alot of bucks with the same color hair(dingy yellowish white)I Mounted one last year...

I think I see( Tom )written on the back of the form.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-18-08 AT 07:16AM (MST)[p] THAT MOUNT IS LESS THAT 4 YEARS OLD......20 IS A TAD BIT OFF I BELIEVE....DONT BE OFFENDED.....MIGHT BE A NEW MOUNT.....YD.

Beautiful buck! I cringe when I see somebody holding a mount right there on the throat. I have a buck in my office and people come in all the time and "pet" him right along the throat....it takes all the restraint I have not to slap their hand away!

ITS MY BUCK, SHOT IT YEARS AGO..GREAT HUNT. GLAD TO SEE THE PICS MAKE IT OUT INT THE WORLD. LOL ;)

Nice Buck, The plywood on the back still looks Green. I dont think it is very old.

Well, Ok, but this is just a wild assed guess.

Is he Bambi's father from the Disney movie "Bambi"?

Other than that, I don't know him.

nice buck!
bad mount!
I wounder if it was mounted by the dermist from Idaho Forest Atkins? NO it turned out to good to be one of his mounts.

Archery is a year round commitment!!

My cousin shot a buck that had some of the same characteristics of the buck. Like it had a cheater on the same side as this one. Dark horns and it was taken on the Northern Utah region a few years back the eye guards where close but, not double guards. It's outside spread was 30 1/2 inches. Nice buck even though it needs a full mount MAKE OVER!!!!
