always put in for 13b first and only choice had 11 points desided to put in 12b late second choice and drew it has anyone drew it or knows caliber of deer i liked the rut dates is this good or bad

Great tag if it snows on the paunsagunt or the kaibab. If not, you should have no problem shooting a forky.

I did the same thing back in 04'. Was in the max point pool then and drew 12B tag #1. Hindsight, wish I had put 13B one choice and that's it but I was anxious to hunt. Still a good unit with potential but not near the numbers of big, big bucks as 13B. You will see more deer but harder to find the pigs

scout alot, you will find several resident deer, there are some trophys you just have to work harder, duwane adams had a client several years ago took a 190" and some change glass your but off good luck

Had the late 12B-W hunt four years ago, and the early 12B-W two years ago. I saw about 50-60 bucks each hunt, but the quality was definately better later on. Never hunted the East side of 12B on the Plateau at all, but know someone who did. They found a couple great ones. You have a good tag, make the most of it.

Drive out and lite up the highway east of Kanab, and you will see some absolute KINGS WORLD bucks coming out of the Pauns!!!! Where they go once they hit the low country and cedars is anyone's guess, but they're there somewhere. I never found one for me, but saw a couple 180+ typical bucks killed, and one NT that had to go 220.

Hope for bad weather up top. I've seen some great deer and know folks that have taken some in the 185-195 class. It's a challenging hunt. Find somewhere you can see a long ways and find them. They are there. Be prepared any type shot. Some areas are thick and they will appear on you out of nowhere and some are wide open where you can't get any closer.
