Successful Wyoming General Season Elk Hunt

Well the cards were in my favor this year! Killed this 6x7 bull on Oct. 11. I had over 90 miles logged on horse back and on foot all with in 7 days! The bears and wolves were thick but there were bulls everywhere! We went 8 for 8 in camp and everyone was pleased with their take!

Thanks for all the great comments guys!!! This was my fifth trip into this country! Hunted three and guided two! This is the most remote place to hunt elk in the lower 48! It's unreal untouched landscapes all around! The elk were thick on this hunt! Yes my guide did good by all means as he does on every hunt! I knew what I was after and this one was hard to pass up! I'll post a few more pics if it'll let me here on my phone!

Beautiful bull! I haven't been there, but I recognize the country.

I'm hoping to do a similar hunt soon, but want to make sure we use a reputable outfitter. Would you mind sharing who you used? A PM would be great as well.

The yellow top manties give it away. .I had a feeling that's who you went with. Heard they finished the season with great success and a few in the 370+ this year..early snow helps them out a lot. It's incredible country and I have spent a lot of time in it. Congrats again! Beauty of a bull

Very very nice, I'm sure you know those are above average bulls you have to be thrilled.

Nothing like that country is there? I had a sheep tag in there last year and it was a highlight of my life. it was my second time in and I'll be back it's an addiction.
