My son drew one of the four nonresident mule deer tags for Montana Hunting District 300-50. We are approximately 1000 miles away, so scouting trips will be few and far between, or non-existent, due to the gas prices and time constraints. We were thinking the last week or two of the season would be the best, so preseason scouting may not help if the bucks are in the rut and moving. I've hunted on the east side of Dell and Lima, but not the west side. Any general information or help would be greatly appreciated. I will post in both the Mule Deer & Montana Forums. No matter what, we will have a great time, just being together and hunting. A big thank you in advance for any assistance! Good luck in your hunts.
