nonres wyoming elk

As a NR you will have No chance in 124. The past years there has not been a random tag, so only Max Point holders get a chance at the few Max Pref tags.

Unit 100 has had at least 1 random tag for NR the past few years, so you are looking at a 0.2-0.5% chance at drawing. I wouldn't plan a hunt on those odds!

With 9 points you aren't in the points pool. 124 you won't draw as a non resident. 100 you may get extremely lucky and draw in the random pool.

Yup, I'm a non-res with max points (11)...

Looked at unit 100, about a 4 percent chance at a tag.

To answer the OP's question, 124 has better trophy size, 100 has more elk. Both are great hunts. Easy access. More like an antelope hunt than a traditional elk hunt. No way is 100 worth a 9, 10, 11 or more year wait. 124, maybe.

None in my opinion. I just could not stand waiting 11 years to hunt a bull in Wyoming. If I was in your shoes I would have hunted General Units 10 or 11 times over those 11 years and had awesome hunts every year. But seeing as how that ship has sailed I doubt I am going to have any better options for you than what the "experts" say. 7, 16, 30-32, Cody Units, Bighorn Units, and 124 should fill the bill. I would lean heavily towards 61-63. Good luck and hope you have a good hunt.
