I took my last mule deer in that area in 2003. There seemed to be a lot of pressure up near a ski area, not sure what it was named but it was right on the divide. I was back quite aways further off of a side road. My guide told me that down low there is a lot of private land so be careful there. I saw quite a few deer there over 1 1/2 days that I was in that area. I will also be heading out this year and that is one of my back up spots. It was originally going to be my primary area but my friend wanted an antelope tag so we are going to start closer to his area for a couple of days. If we are not finding many deer then we may move over there for the last couple days up to Oct 10th. If you see a white Chevy with a cap and Ohio plates say hi if were around.
We are planning on doing some hiking to get away the roads.
