NM 16C Archery

Hi all,
I finally drew a NM 16C 2nd archery tag after 13 years of applying. My 16yr old son is getting an early graduation present and will be joining me. Anyone have experience on this hunt? Not asking for hunting spots- just what we can expect. We will be hunting hard on our own, possibly with horses. I know there is a fair amount of private land in the unit, are there landowners that do trespass hunts or is it necessary with all of the forest? Planning on at least a few scouting trips this summer which will be as much fun as the hunt!

I know nothing about 16C. I have been in B though, which is across the road to the south. Being that this is your first post, are you aware of the search function? You would be able to search passed threads regarding 16C. Hope this helps and good luck to you!
