I drew unit 45 elk tag, I'm looking for anyone that's hunted this unit to help out with info. I've also talked with circle S stables "Lou" has anyone used her for packing into the wilderness area. Nothing set in stone yet so any recommendations help. This hunt starts around 10/21/17 five day rifle hunt. I'm looking for any burn areas that are in the wilderness north east facing slopes and water. What end of this unit is best north or south? East or west side? I'm from Utah I've hunted elk most my life I'm really excited to have the opertunity to hunt NM any info will help me plan my hunt!

505 379 7726 , tell him Geno gave it to you. Pecos wilderness holds big bulls ,but if you do not own stock and really want to give yourself the best opportunity to a bull call Paul. Also take you a telescopic rod and dig up worms, if you like fish . If you would like to learn more about the unit p.m. me your number .
