interesting to see a hard horned buck and a full velvet monster from the same unit at the same time.
were they mostly rubbed or velvet?

I just got back from a scouting trip in nevada and out of 30 bucks only one was hard horned.

A buck dreams are made of. That smile tells the story. Congrats to the hunter and the guide.

That is a dang good looking buck. Are you hunting those big archery bucks on water or spot and stalk?

The buck was taken spot and stalk on the second morning of the hunt. I blew the stalk on him the first morning (was at 35 yards)when a buck antelope busted me. We put him to bed the second morning and I was able to stalk within 30 yards of him in his bed and able to get the job done. It was a great hunt made all the better by a great guide! Like bowhunter I also gave up max deer points as a nonresident of AZ to try the first archery hunt on this unit in 23 years. Thank you Arizona for a great opportunity and experience. It was worth waiting 12 years for!

Steve:

Great buck! Congrats to you and Alvy.

I heard that you had bagged a smoker buck, and yep you did!

I think you guys were camped just down the road.

We had a pretty good hunt too. One of my guys (Mike Hulsey) got a nice 28" 6 X 5 on day two.

Great hunt, especially first weekend, before the bucks got wise to folks at water.

Take care!

I think he gave a good explanation but I also feel that its perfectly fair for anybody that wants to share a picture to put a link to their website where they can see it.

Its all about marketing and I think that a lot of people do something similar in their professions.

If you dont want to look at the picture on their website then just dont open the link

Don,
Thanks. It was a fun hunt. I meant to stop in and say hello but the hunt was over so quickly and the weather was so hot that I had to head into town right away so as to not lose the meat. It sounds like you had a great hunt as well. Good luck with the rest of your hunts!
