i just had to share my 08' buck too. i took him on the 18th. we watched him and videoed him all summer. he was with a very nice 5x4 that would go 32-33" wide, but this guy gave me the best opportunity. and there is no way i was passing on this awesome typical.

DIY public land in Utah NO way. You must have realy been hunting privite land. Or you poached it off a LE unit.

I thought you would have to shut the hunt down for 5 years to kill bucks like that in Utah

I think I got it figured out now though Bow hunters are killing all the big deer in Utah.

Great picture and great buck fellow bow hunter!

Archery is a year round commitment!!

hey guys thanks for the great positive comments! its been a while since i posted anything. and its nice to read positive comments on a post. there has been a lot of b.s. that has been posted in the last couple years, so thanks for making monster muleys what its supposed to be.
peakfreak, i already told steve about him, he is having a hard time keeping focused now i bet. got to throw him a curve ball once in a while.
good luck to everyone else on there hunts! there are going to be even more big bucks hiting the ground this year!
wes.

Awesome buck Wes. So what does your buck end up scoring, if you don't mind me asking. Just curious. Congrats man.

I don't know where he is at , but its on an area that must have burned a few years ago. It seems we have had our share of fires in the state ove the past 10 years, but it seems that in the long run the deer habitat is better because of it. Congrats on a great buck. There is a good chance that there wil be some more good bucks taken on public grounds this year. The stormy weather last year during the rifle hunt in some parts of the state saved alot of bucks for the this year.

Outstanding work Wes. Nebo talks about FIRE. Range fires or forest fires are always good for wildlife habitat. It may take a year or three to show it, but it always works out for the better. I live in AZ and pretty much every year we have a fire and the wildlife really benefit from it.

LOL Then you'll be happy to know that between myself and my cousin who I hunt with, we have seen, and passed or missed 5 deer that are 160"-175" class bucks. Being in close on those deer is amazing, just couldn't ever connect. I doubt archery hunters are killing a LOT of big deer. I've seen about 10 pics online here, congrats to all!!!

Congrats , thats a superbuck! Thanks for sharing it with us , man he looks great!!!
