Game Eye

Well, I must be getting old. I have always prided myself on having a really good game eye. My brothers and I would always play animal spotting games on trips around Montana when we were kids. We even had a scoring system set up (i.e. 10 pts for an elk, 5 for a deer etc.). My favorite type of hunting is the spot and stalk for mule deer. I would do it year round if they would let me.
Saturday my wife and kids and I went out to take some pictures of a 4 acre piece of ground we are trying to sell. Almost every time we go, there are a few deer on the land. I thought showing a few pics of the deer on the land might help sell it. When we got there, the deer were no where around. I ran around the 4 acres and took pictures from about 20 different angles and then we came home. Tonight I was looking at them, trying to choose which ones to use in the advertising and I found this picture. I must be getting old. Obviously there is a muley doe in the CENTER of the picture standing there looking at me. I was less than 100 yards from her (probably closer to 60). I never saw her at all until I looked at this picture. About 60 seconds after I took this picture, I moved to about where she was standing and got more pictures from that angle. I am a little disgusted with myself that I didn't see her even one time. As you can see, there are some trees, but there is a lot of open ground too. I didn't think that 36 was very old, but maybe it is!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU THIS SEASON YOU OLD FART!!!!!!

Don't feel too bad. I've been on two scouting trips and have yet to glass up a buck. The only one I've seen was a 2 pnt that run across the road in front of the truck. I'm feeling very inadaquit.

I saw her right off the bat, but then I have on my glasses. Get over it, we all at one time or another will have to wear glasses and make it easier to see game.
I still have a habit of trying to look without them on but gave up, wear my glasses till I bring up the bino's for a better view.
Can't get use to looking through the glasses and the binos at the same time. I can see real good looking through the Bino's without wearing my bi-focals.

NO TWO PEOPLE ARE THE SAME WHEN IT IS TIME TO WEAR GLASSES, JUST PART OF LIFE.
