I am from Kentucky and am looking for a place to go to harvest a good elk, I'll only have this opportunity once in my life and would appreciate any help I could get from you local guys.... Also if any of you are willing to trade trophy elk hunt for trophy whitetail, I am willing to trade,. I consistently harvest over 160 inch deer.

Thanks guys

LAST EDITED ON Sep-24-17 AT 04:06PM (MST)[p]I think $20,000 buys you a bull tag for Deseret land and livestock in northern Utah. It's fair chase hunting but you are pretty much guaranteed a bull. Most likely 330-350 class with some chance for a bigger one.

Hard to know if you are for real. Where to start?? You want a trophy elk hunt but this will be a once in a lifetime event? Pretty hard to believe for those of us who hunt elk. Kinda addicting once you try it.

And trophy elk don't grown on trees. So if you really mean once in a lifetime and trophy, you are going to have to part with some serious cash and probably go private land. You can probably find someone to swap you a hunt, but most likely not for a trophy elk hunt. Of course everywhere you elk hunt there is the POTENTIAL for a trophy, but I have the potential of getting struck by lightening this week too.

You don't give anywhere close to enough info for anyone to help you. As stated, you need to tell us what weapon(s) you can hunt with. Are you thinking this year, or future years (pretty dang late to get anything this year) DIY, guided and price range?

Answer these and you might get some useful info
