On September 16, 2017 opening morning of the limited entry rifle elk hunt in the Red Creek area (North and East of Current creek) we witnessed a helicopter flying at tree height back and forth, which appeared to be driving elk onto the private ranches in the area. By the time I got my phone out to video/take photos, the helicopter was too far away. If you happened to be in the area and witnessed this and were able to get video/photos of the helicopter, please let me know. This is ridiculous!!! You wait 20 years to draw a tag and spend countless hours and money scouting and planning your hunt only to have all the elk in the area driven out. We saw only 1 spike all weekend.

Good Ole cwmu at it again.
Don't you know they own that mountain and all the surrounding mountains. They have the thunder ridge air strip right there

Back Me Off to 1,700 Yards,650 is a Little Close & I'm Not Comfortable with it!

A GUT SHOT at 1,700 Yards will Still Make Some Good BRAGGIN Rights so I Can Say I At Least Hit Him!

Pulling a Tri-state here....geeez blame a guy for trying to gather cattle or find strays the opening weekend of deer or elk season and he's a criminal.....:).

There was no hunter in the the Huey or R-44. Only the guides.....or a friend if s friend.

TRY looking at a local airport It should be listed somewhere that so and so was flying a helicopter in that area unless Utah don't any flight requirements.

My friend and I were deer hunting a few years ago and watched a helicopter flying around and then land in the national forest. We wrote done the number on the tail and found out who the helicopter belonged to. The owner is out of Alaska and was busted for poaching bears, the proved like 20 bears but they thing he poached over 60, or something like that. We turned all the info over to the DOW, never heard a thing after that. We were seeing bears daily.
