I'm new to this sight and have bben impressed with the help people have given each other. I have question if someone can help me out. I have a 15 year old son who has a few serious health issues but is very functional and no one would even know he had any problems unless we told them. He loves to hunt and has yet to score on any big game animal but I am hopeing to change that this year. I put him in for antlerless deer tags in Utah but he didn't draw and I was wondering if anyone knows of a land owner in Utah, who might have an antlerless deer tag my son could use? He did draw a doe tag for antelope so I'm hopeing to make that happen so it may not be a big deal but if possible, I could use some help.

Looks like they still have a few AZ late Kiabab junior antlerless deer tags left. Not in UT, but AZ nonresident junior prices are very reasonable. Better hurry though, only 9 left.

You may have to cope with the goat tag for this year. The bright side is the application period for 2009 is only 4 months away. :) You should be able to get a buck deer tag for next year. If you apply for a deer tag for 2009, keep us posted so we can help him find a buck. Good luck on his antelope hunt.

I'm not sure how much you are willing to travel, but Nebraska has a grip load of tags that are first come first serve still available. There is a deal called "season choice" where depending on what unit you choose you can take up to two does. The price for out of state is very resonable. Last year it was less than 70 bucks all stamps included. Pretty good deal. My buddy came up from colorado just to take some good meat because it was so cheap. Just a thought.

Another option to consider would be Wyoming. They normally have a ton of leftover tags, especially in the northeast quarter of the state. I know it isn't Utah, but if you want to take him hunting, it can be an excellent option. There are probably still buck antelope tags left over in the northeast.

The Arizona Kaibab option also sounds interesting, as that's a beautiful place to spend some days.

Sent you a e-mail..........Nate

We are residents of Utah, so that is why I was looking for something close to home. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions, it sounds like there may be some good options to look at. Special thanks to alwayzbhuntin for your help. Nate has helped us in tha past is a great guide and we do consider him a good freand. My Son, Bridger, thinks the world of him.

I believe you can still get Colorado over the counter youth cow tags. Price $100.00. This info is off the top of my head, but I believe it is close.

You can still get OTC tags here in Idaho.
