Winter Kill

How bad was the winter kill in the Gunnison Basin?

I've been tagging along for a few days of archery elk and I haven't seen a single deer. I helped with some of the feeding operation and I can tell you it was bad. I don't know what the DOW is saying exactly, but from my personal experience the deer were hit hard. There are three bucks that have been hanging around my house though. The biggest is a nice 4x4 that was in my yard when I got home yesterday. I walked to within 15' of him before he trotted off.
