Guys, awesome feedback on who is "The Man" in the bowhunting world! Thanks!! I've tabulated the past weeks results and here they are: To start out with, there were a few honorable mentions to take note of in no particular order:

1-"swbuckmaster" -- Scott Weatherspoon
2-"JDH" -- Jeremy Houston
3-"Silentstalker" -- Chad Doyle
4-"LuckyShot" -- Kip Fowler

Of no suprise, Cameron Hanes and Randy Ulmer lead the way on a short list of bowhunters that are classified as more "professional hunters." Regardless of the category these two would fall into (that debate could go on and on), their results speak for themselves. Congrats to both!

From the original days of bowhunting, there were numerous mentions of Larry Jones, Fred Bear, Chuck Adams, Ted Nugent, and Dwight Schuh...obviously all men who helped shape the world of bowhunting and most likely fueled our fire and passion of bowhunting. Great and deserving tributes to all of them!!

All this being said, the CLEAR WINNER and recipient of numerous votes by many of you was Roy Grace, aka BOHNTR.

Congrats to you BOHNTR!!!! Your success and willingness to share your methods, techniques and advice to the rest of us has obviously influenced many for good and is much appreciated and respected by your peers here on MM. Congrats on being hailed "THE MAN" in bowhunting!! It's a crown I'm sure you will wear well!!!!

Very cool Kip! Roy definitely deserves the honor! He is a class act and sure kills a lot of huge animals! Not sure I am even close to being in the category of the other great hunters mentioned. I am honored to be on the list! Congrats to you all and have a great day!

LuckyShot, Very well said! Also congrats for making this short list of the best among your peers! No small accomplishment!

All the guys mentioned deserved mention i'm sure. I'd also like to take my hat off to all the guys who year after year get the job done on way better than average game animals who, for one reason or another, choose not to post or be posted about, on these or any other forum or website. We all know guys like this, my hunting partner is one. He's helped a dozen or more guys in his local, become way better hunters and to get their own status elevated among a large group of guys that live to hunt. He does all this and still manages to usually bring home the best trophies, usually with his bow, usually on public ground.

Here's to all the unsung successful hardcore guys out there...willing to help a guy out, yet get it done quietly, seeking no fame or mention, year after year on public, easier to get tags!!!

Sorry guys/gals, I've been away from the site for a few days......between work and trying to get my son some blacktails with his bow, I've been fairly busy. I did, however, receive a few e-mails from fellow MM'ers telling me I better get over here and check out the Mule Deer forum. Wow!

First and foremost, I truly appreciate the kind words and confidence, however, you have the wrong guy for sure amigos. Now if the title was "Who's the MAN when it comes to being one LUCKY SOB with a bow"....I would clearly hold that title! :) Nothing exceptional here.....just a guy who loves to hunt mature critters with a bow and stumbles onto an occasional nice animal.

There are quite a few bow benders on this site that are VERY good at letting the air out of tremendous animals. Guys like Jeremy (JDH) and Scott (swbuckmaster), Chad (SS) and Kip (LS) seem to get it done quite often. I've been fortunate enough to share a camp with ol' Jeremy too.....he's as good as it gets, IMO, and a friend of mine.

You know, I've been bowhunting critters for well over 30 years and I know ol' BB has been doing it much longer than that! If you ever get a chance to look this gentleman's photos, please do.....it's a real treat. He's the MAN in my book and much more deserving.

I would like to add a name that was not mentioned.....and this guy has arrowed some absolute GIANTS in my opinion and shared them with all of us over the years. Our Northern brother Cam Barlow (Saskman). He's definitely the "Man" in my book as well....and absolutely gorgeous field photos which we've all come to expect.

For celebrity types, I've had the fortune to meet and converse with several mentioned above over the years. Most are very humble and nice folks.....especially good ol' Cameron. Extremely motivated but down to earth. Another friend, in my book. But if I had to pick just one, it would be Larry D. Jones. He's probably one of the best elk hunters I've seen.....and he's killed exceptional mule deer and Blacktails as well.....all with a recurve! But what's more impressive to me is his Christian faith, integrity, woodsman ship skills (a dying art), and his true love for the outdoors in general. He's a step above the rest, IMO, and a dying breed.

Thanks again for the kind words.....I appreciate them. But really, the title doesn't fit.

I dont know any of you guys on a personal level yet i would like to as you all seem like great guys. I now know a couple of your guys names that i didnt know before just knew your handle names. Like Jeremy Houston and Kip Fowler for example. I have read numerous articles on the both of you and would love to hunt with either of you. Also i have seen some animals that Scott and Chad have killed and they have taken great animals. Also Roy has gave me some great information and has taken some great animals also, i love his 197 arizona strip buck. You are being to modest Roy about not wanting to except this award and im sure everyone else on here agrees when i say you deserve the WHO'S THE MAN TITLE. You the man Roy.

Man Roy, I hate to say this, but it looks like the shoe fits. Whoops I meant "CROWN" You da man!

I would like to echo's sageadvice comments as well about the unsung successful hardcore guys out there. I know a few of them as well and they harvest some incredible animals.

Roy was right as well Saskman, BB, are the "man" in my book also. I love seeing their harvest & field photo's.

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to share their successes with all of us here at MM.

Roy after seeing all your posts over the years, and having the oppertunity to hunt with you, im with Jeremy on this one, the Crown looks like it has fallen on the right person.

I also agree with you that Saskman and jdh, are two bowhunters that know what the sport is all about.
