Which CO Unit for Mule Deer? 13 points

I have a friend that that has 13 points for mule deer and wants to cash in his point. We are both open to any and all suggestions. We are after anything over 180". We are very interested in an Early High Country above timberline hunt but will consider any season. I was hoping for some suggestions. We are both in excellent shape and are ready to knock down a big buck.

So what does everyone think? PM's welcome.

I would look into a 4th season tag in the Gunnison area if it was me but it won't be the high timber hunt you are wanting. Most of those can be drawn with 4-6 points. I personally think a 4th season Gunnison tag could produce a 200+ buck if you put in the time.

After reading a lot of hunting reports from this years hunt. He might want to hold on to them for a couple more years. Or try for unit 10 or 21. Not sure if 13 points is enough but might be close.

He had a unit 10 ranching for wildlife tag this year but had to turn it do to some family issues. Were just wanting to keep all options open.

I'd hold off on the Gunnison Basin. It ain't what it used to be.
Yes there are still some good bucks there, however with that many points, I'd find a better unit.
