I just read the story of the buck shot in Lincoln County, NV. It reminded me of a buck shot in Colorado, 3rd seaeon in 2006 by a hunting buddy Paul Baker. I was wondering if anyone new what caused the horns to grow that way??

Its caused by a herpes virus, that is passed to a deer from sheep. The only outward symptom is antlers that "curl up", does dont manifest symptoms.

It comes from Nevada, that says everything right there. What you have there is nothing less than a pure blooded radiation buck. You ought to see some of the radiation coyotes running around that neck of the woods, you go hunt them at night because they glow in the dark and are the size of a wolf.
