LAST EDITED ON Dec-03-08 AT 06:11PM (MST)[p]We have been hunting in Montana six out of the last seven years. The first year was a learning curve and we struggled to find decent bucks. We have had pretty good hunts since then. These aren't big bruisers like you would kill on limited entry hunts, but good bucks for general season that you can hunt most every year. A few of these photos have been on here before, but never together like this. Thanks for looking, Smokepoler63

It depends on the year and if we are holding landowner sponsored deer tags or state-wide combination tags. We can only hunt deeded land, owned by the rancher who sponsors us when we have the land owner sponsored tags. When we have the state-wide general tags we hunt on several private ranches and surrounding BLM and National Forest land. The state wide general tags give us more freedom and flexibility, but they have tougher draw odds than the landowner sponsored tags.

I would say yall done real good. I have seen bucks that class only 1 season in the last 4,and all on general tags on public land. I usually give up on a nice muley and shoot a riverbottom whitey by the last days. They are kinda easy. Real nice pics and thanks.
