POACHED BUCK (photo)

I have gotten half a dozen emails claiming that half a dozen people have this photo which is no big deal but now a friend has called me and said that someone is claiming it is in Colorado and is trying to sell it to a client so I guess enough is enough.

NO ONE else will be able to show a picture of the buck with the doe while he was rutting.

The only picture that I have ever sent out was the cropped photo of just the buck-never with the doe or any amount of background.

So to all of the guys that took the picture on the "BLM", in "Vernal", in "Beaver", in "Boulder" or my favorite,"dont even ask cuz its my honey hole"...Sorry

To the guy that is trying to sell the hunt in Colorado....Good Luck, let me know how you do.

Wow! So this pic is actually real! Every time I saw it posted on the enet which was about 10 times people said it was photoshopped. Well if its real hell of a job Sonofthesouth on finding that stud I hope you can find him again. If your having trouble relocating him you might want try Colorado.

Dude! why you gotta be lying on MM. If you wanna keep your bucks location a secret thats fine but don't lie about it! I scoured the maps in the area in utah and haven't found a single canyon named "honey hole"! So I can guarantee you he's not in that canyon. Nice try. You can't fool me!

The whole "honey Hole" bit is from an email that was FWD to me by a friend and that's what the person in the email was telling the 15 people he was sending the message to.

He basically said: "my friend took this picture a few weeks ago in his favorite honey hole! Don't ask where because I am not telling"

That isn't really a big deal but when Doyle Moss calls and tells me about a guy trying to sell this same buck to some unsuspecting guy in Colorado, I would hope that somebody would try and set the record strait on my behalf.

"Some guy" is trying to convince a Governers Tag holder to send him money so he can hunt this deer. I can guarantee you that this fraud has never, nor will ever see this buck and he is claiming that he took the photo which is a lie!

When Son posted the picture I was more than a little pissed for a number of reasons but one of them was that I knew something like this would happen. Thats why we asked repeatedly for the pictures to be removed. Unfortunately to many people had seen it and saved the picture to their computers and emailed everybody and their brother.

The stories that accompany these emails are rediculous, they are just fabrications. There are only a couple people that know the story behind this buck and it'll stay that way

That buck looks similar to one we saw while on an archery elk hunt in the Book cliffs...I said similar not exact.. I hope to see more of your "HONEY HOLE" buck... Maybe you can show us it's sheds in a couple months

You guys act surprised by this? What do you expect on the internet. If I get an email with a nice animal in it I chalk it up to just that.....a nice animal. The ONLY way it warrants any merrit at all is if I personally know that person. Pictures like that one are about as safe on the internet as your credit card number floatin around out there. There all kinds of lyin SOB's out there. Some guy recently made a whole false family with pictures that he got from people. You are pissed cause some guy claimed that picture of deer. Imagine how pissed you'd be if somebody was claiming your wife and kids.
