"For those of you who do not recognize him, the guy in the photo is John Wood from Glaslyn and you are looking at what is possibly the New World record archery Mule deer. John's deer beats the current archery record by just over an inch so unfortunately he may not be first after drying time. Nevertheless, pretty cool I thought that you could say you possibly have a world record."

I think I saw the score posted on a Canadian board somewhere. Don't think it was anywhere near the Burris Buck. I believe when they were talking Worlds Record they were talking P&Y not B&C. Not a surprise as Sask has been pumping out the top P&Y bucks as of late. No doubt it is a MONSTER Buck.

I believe whoever sent the pic to trophy watch got an exagerated email. When the words World Record are spoken some people forget that there are more than one club. If you reread the email I posted, I don't see anywhere in it that they are claiming this buck to be bigger than the Burris Buck. They are instead claiming it to be an inch larger than the P&Y Worlds Record Typical. I know there have been several recent contenters for the Velvet P&Y World Record. Tim Roberts' 205 1/8 CO buck. Joe Schmidt' 202 6/8 Sask buck. Greg Krogh's 202 2/8 Nevada buck and Jeff Draper's 200 5/8 CO buck. Anyone know what the Official World's Record P&Y Typical scores?

The P&Y world record mule deer (typical) is the Barcus Buck arrowed in CO, 1979. It panel measured 203 1/8" net.

I know there have been several big bucks arrowed over the last few years that measured close to that....however many were measured in velvet. P&Y allows velvet entries, however, they are not eligible for WR status unless they are stripped and panel measured. The next panel measurement is scheduled for this Spring (09) in Denver.

This particular buck looks like it may have enough to give the WR a run for it's money......I hope it gets sent in for panel, as I'd like to see it this Spring.

Guess my post got nuked?????? Not sure why, but I've never been one to cry Photo Shop. Pic looks real to me and with the way his elbows are bent would indicate that thing is just a plain ole MONSTER.

Great buck. Makes me wonder about a few things. Are they still hammering the CWD deer areas Alberta and Sask and are they expanding the CWD watch areas? And Huntsonora, what's with the stay classy Utah deal?

Let me guess, the trick is, "I'm holding this 205 inch buck and i'm trying to make it look like a 205 inch buck?"

That buck is, by any standards on earth a huge buck. . . If a guy where holding a 145 inch 4x4 pushed it out 3 feet and claiming to be 200" i'd call that a trick, what we are looking at is a huge buck, that's Gods magic not Adobe's. . .

Have you seen Anchorman? The anchor always signed off with "Stay classy San Diego". Later in the movie they put something else on the teleprompter and then it gets really funny!
