Here is the summary by Kelly Mower who was with the Durfeys, from Salina.

" Here is a picture or two of how I spent my day Saturday! I went down on the Henry's to spot some deer and me and my buddies ended up, giving a hand with the Sportsman's tag, Stephanie Durfy from Salina slammed this awesome buck down there Saturday evening right before dark after a long day of stocking and glassing the terrain! This deer has broke off almost 20" in 3 days from fighting and rutting. He taped out at an impressive 230 2/8", he broke off 3 huge cheaters that knocked him down a little bit but WOW what a deer! I'll tell ya what, these pictures don't give her buck justice! HEAVY, HEAVY! Anyone who says if you draw the sportsman's tag you've got an easy trophy, you might think again! Stephanie and her husband Dustin have scouted and hunted every weekend since July! She earned every point on that deer with her determination and drive to look under every rock and in every canyon!"

I've been on hunts where I felt like I was worn out, but I just got to go down and help look with Steph and Dustin and I looked forward to each weekend and even didn't mind the drive down and back. You just can't "not enjoy" spending time down on the Henry's looking at those big bucks! It was truly an enjoyable time.

Give me that tag, I want to know if hunting for 5 months really does wear you out:) Congrats on a heck of a buck!
