All I can say is WOW!

Hey, does anyone have a brother/friend/cousin/sister/grandpa with a valid sportsman's/governor's/convention/auction/raffle tag for Arizona?! Maybe they could trade a little something with the photographer and get that buck killed before he gets any older!

Isn't that how it's done?

I was wonderin' when these pics would show up here, a friend of mine took all these photos and this buck is not in Unit 9! Matter of fact he can't even be hunted and if you notice, he's pretty tame, so that should give ya a clue as to where he does live!

Here's some more pics my friend took of the same buck.....NO photoshop here!

I could be wrong, but they don't look like the same deer to me. Maybe the same deer, but not the same year's growth.

You are right, I should have stated that, the velvet pics are from '07, the hard horned are from about 3 weeks ago. JIM>

Awesome buck. Thanks for posting the velvet pics. He looks like he wants to eat out of the photographer's hand in the last photo.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-30-08 AT 08:41PM (MST)[p]Coosefan, why don't you let Kilowatt tell us the story since he's the one who posted the pics. From what I have seen around here he is a straight shooter, so if you want to call B.S. do it in private and then let him correct it. BTW Great pics and great buck thanks for the pics!

So, he's a park buck, huh? Awesome deer, and close enough to unit 9 to say he's a unit 9 buck as far as I'm concerned. I was thinking east side of the unit over near the rez, till it was said he's where he can't be hunted.

Who cares if he's huntable or not? I'm just glad to know that bucks like that are alive and might make it through the winter.

JEEZ,
Never fails, pictures get posted and right away someone has to make remarks. No wonder a lot of guys won't post their pictures.
I received these in an E-mail and all it said was AZ Unit 9, so I posted them for those who like to see the pictures.

Coosefan, I don't know WHO took the pictures and if you look closer this time, there is some things I see that are not the same. NOT saying that they are not the same buck, a nice buck no less. The velvet pics you posted shows that the right ear is split, dbl eye guard on the right side and "maybe a dbl on the left side...these in 07 per you.
Now on the ones I posted the dbl eye guard is on the left side and a single on the right side. Another small cheater is off the main beam on the right side too. No picture of the right ear to see if it is split like in your pic. Who the HELL cares what unit it is in, maybe a false unit would help the buck to survive............just enjoy the pictures for gods sake.

LAST EDITED ON Dec-30-08 AT 10:28PM (MST)[p]i researched this buck a little bit and found it on the mullin's outfitters out of az. website. i am not sure if it is a park buck or not. seems as though it wouldn't be on his site. they also have another gigantic muley in the same looking country in the velvet. it's awesome.

i heard that the rigo guy mentioned in the post before was the x-gamewarden in the unit and killed a huge bull last year in his unit so it would make sense he took those pics.

no matter where this giant is from he is huge. if he is a unit 9 buck he will be in trouble soon. fling away archers b/c next yr. there won't be any left thanks to the missmanagement of the AZGFD. with mule deer numbers you could count on two hands and feet in the unit, they decide a jan. archery over the counter hunt will help the herd recover. ummmmm, pretty stupid if you ask me. kill em all, serves azgfd right.

Hold on dude, I was not being negative in anyway and not calling B.S. on anything, if I came across as such I apologize! Kilowatt didn't add a story, he just added the title of the email that I know was on the email he had received, I figured I would add the information that i have and some more pics for you all. The pics are all of the same buck, there is no photoshop, and they were taken by a Mr. Rigo who was the most recent game warden in unit 9. This is a park buck and he stays in the park and actually moved deeper into the park with the heavy snows we just had...so he probably wont be huntable. It is just a monster buck that i figured everyone here would enjoy seeing pics of.

Again, I was just trying to add some facts to the thread and some more cool photos for ya all...i had no intentions of steppin' on anyones toes.

people on here are douche bags, get a life who gives a s^%$ where it was from.I read alot of stuff on here and rarely reply, this one is stupid couldnt resist. The worse hunting forum, there are a few good ones on here, thanks to you guys you know who you are.

Hey Coosefan (jim) You also forgot to add to your post that this buck was also sexual assaulted by Mr. Rigo on a daily basis it was so tame.

Hmm, you're not going to believe this, but I know a guy named John McDonald who lives in northern CA who showed me those same photos and said he took them while visiting Grand Canyon National Park.

Mr. McDonald showed me the photos on his digital camera. And while they weren't as clear and sharp as on this site, there is no doubt it is the same buck.

This was about two years ago after his daughter's Unit 10 antelope hunt which I assisted on.

So unless this buck has been photographed many, many times, this entire story is incredible.

This is in Fact a Park deer I know that for a fact since Dave Rigo has been watching this buck for a few years now. And this buck does not come out of the park because if it did Rigo would have smoked him by now

This buck is definitely no secret and I have no doubt there's hundreds of photos out there of him! I bet there's a ton of his photos in China too! LOL! Definitely a special buck and awesome to look at!

That is funny, I was in GCNP 2 weeks ago and damn, i was a minority having round eyes.

I was responsible for about a two mile backup one time when I was taking pictures of about a 34 inch typical 4 point at the park.It was funny because I pulled my truck off the road and all the japanese were parking on the road causing the back up.Really cool, because I was taking the pictures from about 20 yards. He was a 190 inch buck.

That is a toad of a buck!
My jaw hit the floor when I saw that pic.
I gotta check out your website Jim.
