just woundering if anyone has any news about this uint, was there any good bucks killed this year, if so do you have any pic. that i could see, would like to see some of the genetic's that are goimg aronud, I have ten points and would like to no if this would be a good unit to us them on, I am looking for a good goood buck to put on my wall (like we all are)so if you have any leeds please let me no thanks!!! or if you have a nother good unit that will produce some good bucks that would be great thanks!!

LaSal can be a great hunt, IF you get good early storms to push them out of Colorado. Its all dependant on weather patterns, hit and miss you might say. I have been with people thats drawn that tag in the past. biggest deer seen was in the high 180's I have heard of bigger deer taken but failed to see any. I would put in for Paunsagant before Dolores. You have a great chance of drawing that tag this year with the new changes

Later season you get more chances of the kind of snow needed to push the deer over. Now would be a good time to check it out and see what was shoved into this area for this year.

When the last time a B&C awards buck came out of there let alone an all time entry. Unit 40 in Colorado has seen better days for deer and that is the herd that migrates in to the triangle. Too many elk in 40.

If I had a stack of points, I would be looking elsewhere. That being said, a whopper buck could come out of there really easily but it isn't what most people think it might be. Looks good on paper and hands out big reality checks to most hunters.

thanks for the info, i have been wanting to travel down there to see what has moved in there but timimg is not the best for that i just had my first child on the 27th so i am kind confined to close areas, i live up north in morgan so it is kind of a long drive to get away, if anyone goes out there lookin let me know what you see if it looks promising or not, where else might you suggest putting in for how is the pauns. these days
