Is this considered a shooter during the rifle season and what width might he be??.

I agree!!! Interesting, is it photo shopped or do you have a background of it. One heck of a management buck if on a Utah management unit!!!

What the crap? Looks like a freaking board (2X4)... ;-)

Without being able to see it head on, and with its right ear cocked back like that it's hard to say, but I'd guess between 25 to 30 inches. A shooter or not depends on you. Not a first dayer for me, but I wouldn't hesitant if it were the last day of the hunt, and I'd be extremely happy with him, too.

legacy-the story is that this pic was taken with a small dig cam this past season and was very light so I pressed the contrast button to get some color in it so it could be viewed better.

do you have more pictures and can you put them on here in a larger size. a few years ago up on the LaSals(Moab) we saw (4) bucks like this one 4x2's I wonder if it from the same area.
3 of the bucks had the rack just like your picture, one of the buck had it on the other side, he looked like he was a twin with one of the other bucks, Bio told me it was possible for it to switch sides in a twin type birth.
That night in the hay field was about 100 deer with some 35 or so bucks all I had was a cow tag.

if you look close its a 3x2 the one side is not 4 points the last tine that makes it look like an elk rack is just something in the background

there would be no hesitation in my pulling of the trigger. look how heavy those tines are. First day, last day, any unit you put me in. no hesitation.

Gary-yes-that is an old Mexico buck pic. I just love it down there and there certainly isnt much happening here that time of year. He has about 29 in beams and Really nice mass.

That buck is a STUD, and unless your killing 180+ big bucks every year that buck is a shooter. Score isnt everything and this buck wont score well but he is a monster.... Hes right at the 30" mark or bigger, Freakin sick G2s that are forever long that buck is TALL, tall bucks get me, add in the width this guy has and he is a shooter unless you have found something bigger.

I also am wondering what state he is in, something about the pics makes me want to say cali.

He is a cool buck. Looks to me like he's in either New Mexico or maybe even Texas. That creosote brush and the background just look that way. He appears to be an old timer, and my guess is that he might slide downhill a bit next fall.

I'd pass till my heart restarted then i'd pull the trigger, very unique buck! Who cares about score when they are like that!

I would shoot two in the air and finally get one in him as he ran like hell because he was scared and I was excited.

That 3rd picture shows his mass well, That buck is very similar to the bucks we saw up in the LaSals Mountains, It would be hard spending alot of Money on a OLD MEX hunt and shoot him, Well at least not the first day now the last day that old boy would be in trouble.
