Hello,
I got these 3 photos of this Navajo buck today(2/24), here in Santa Barbara, and does anybody know anything about this very wide buck? It is being passed through an email chain that I got and don't know the origin. Also, it is NOT photo-shopped. :)
I apologize for posting pics without permission, but don't know the origin and curious of the story behind this great buck!

Another Dream Buck!!!

I'm just sitting here shaking my head at how beautiful that buck is and how much i'd love to have an opportunity to get a buck anyway near close to that dandy. I've killed my share, got a bunch in the 160-180 class, nothing near THAT class of buck. I've never even seen one close to that! times running out and hunting outa state money seems harder and harder to come by. I'm still wanting though...keeps me going!

His left antler definately looks wider in the pic that was posted last. Notice the tallest piece of grass in relation to the main beam. Looks like the left ear is in the same spot in relation to the antler in both pics. Who knows....maybe they are two separate pictures and not the same pic at all...

This last photo is shoped, but the originals of the post are real.

You guy's and your obsession with photo-shopped pictures kills me. The pics have not been shopped - the deer is just that big.

Here is the buck that john killed with us during the 2004 archery season - He's a 197" typical. Jon is a good guy and has killed some great bucks throughout the west and old Mexico. His Mexico buck from last year was in the 2008 Mexico/Canada issue of Muley Crazy - there's another giant to his credit.

The photo in post 13 by shagnasty has been touched up and it is not even a good job. Take a look at the area of the main beam between the G1 and G2 in the photo posted by shagnasty and then look at the original photo ( second one down) in the first post, quite different. I do beleive the first photos and it is an awesome buck, I would love to see a buck like it some day. I am not one to call photoshop on photos but the one in post 13 is pretty obvious compared to the same photo in the first post. They have extended the drop tines in the photo in post 13 as well. They have extended most of the points on the left antler.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-04-09 AT 04:07PM (MST)[p]After a closer look, I'll conceed - saskman's post does have validity. I don't think the photo has been shopped so to say, I think the photo in post 13 has been stretched or resizes improperly. If you overlay the photos you can see a difference in widths. My apologizies (insert foot here).

WTF my word not good enough for you. LOL I wasnt as clear as Sasks was but said the samething, I know the deer is legit in the first set of photos. And if the rumors I herd were true the bucks goes into the 270s, biggest buck to come off the Navajo if I remeber right.

Thats an awsome typical he got with you, I remember it in the mags and one of the videos.

MuleyBuck009 is definately right about 1 thing, Jon is a very good guy...and if a photo of any buck he has killed was photoshopped it wasn't done by him for sure.

great post/pic, thanks for sharing
