Like everyone else I got my Eastmans hunting journal, and according to their reccomendations, I have a good chance - with three points, and possibly going with the special license - of drawing units 90, 141, 162 or 130. I have no knowledge of these areas, and have been applying for 128, 119, and 102, which are all a long shot even with max points and special fee. Also I have heard several say that quality was down significantly in the last well known areas I mentioned - I don't know for certain. I usually rely on what you guys suggest so any help will be appreciated. I was hoping my wife and I could do a "quality" mule deer and antelope combo this year since we didn't draw an elk tag. PM me if you like.

Sorry to bump the post, but can anyone help? As you all know the application deadline is less than two weeks away. Thanks.

141/162 season has changed from October 15-31 to October
1-15 or 21 (regulations aren't out yet but opener is set for 1st) which means there will likely be no migration deer. Still has good resident deer. 119 has been in drought for 8 out of the last ten years. A 165" deer would be big. 128 is weather dependent. The resident deer are about 150"-170" max. I've been through 102 and roads are everywhere and others have said it has gone downhill. But tag numbers were cut back recently. I've only passed through 90 and 130 and don't know much about them. 141, 162, 128 and 119 have grizzlies too. Personally, I'd rather hunt H or G every other year than wait to draw any of the above units.
