i think they have medford Or. on that list, last i heard they havn't paid their tax's for this store here.....

Weird, I have been to the one in Aurora, CO a bunch of times, and they were always busy.

The one in Colorado Springs is running out of product. I was wondering if they were in trouble.

I was at there store in Lexington last week and there reloading supplies and ammo shelves were about empty.

With how much product they have on hand in St. George, they just as well close that store as well. WHAT A JOKE.

The one in riverdale ut, has been out of dang near everything for months. hope this saves them they have always been good to me.

Dang it! The paints still wet on the stores here in Vegas! How can this be???? Look on the bright side, I'll be lookin to cash in on a good sale or two....very sad to see them go.

i never understood why they opened the store in nampa idaho. its only about 10-15 miles from the one in meridian. the nampa location was ALWAYS a ghost town. i think it just opened last summer too.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-13-09 AT 11:51PM (MST)[p]personally, i could care less. I have not spent over $100. in all of them combined. Cabelas, Sportsman's, Bass pro,...they can all go down the road for all i care.

I buy from Mom and Pop local vendors, get great personal service and they are much more knowledgeable about their products. If i can't get what i need from them, i'll go on line or i go to E-bay.

Those huge buildings, big glass fish tanks, and every kind of game mount, they all cost lots of money. Who do you think has paid for it. Then there is all the sponsorships that they provide showing high fenced hunts on TV. Half the time, it's the management of these stores who are the guests.

About 4 years ago i returned a overpriced set of leupold field glasses and Nikon rangefinder to Cabelas. I then turned around and bought the exact same items from Midway USA for $150. less. I can understand some of you missing these mega sporting goods stores, not me though...i'll miss them not at all!

RUMOR... RUMOR... I heard a rumor that one of the top dogs, I won't post a name, had A BET with other top dogs in the company that he could open more stores in a shorter amount of time than the rest??? This caused him to not pay out taxes, and even to hold out on paying big vendors such as Tri-Lene??? It sounded pretty far-fetched, but the more I thought about it, I guess it could be true??? Anyone else hear such a thing???
