I saw these 6 bucks with 4 others at about 12 thousand feet in southern colorado in 08. I was hunting elk last year. So this year i applied in this unit for arch deer which i dont think is considered premium as i have a good chance of drawing with 0 pts.

My question is this,do migratory bucks tend to summer in the same area year after year? Would you think if i saw 10 bucks in this area i should be able to find some bucks in the same general area this year as well.

Thanks for any input.

I'd count on finding them in the general area--good possibility of them being in the same spot.

If its anything like last year then you could hunt them on the 3rd season and they would still be up high. lol. Seriously though they should be right where you left them, only bigger.

i think you will find Bigger bucks in the same spot, this year.
Timberline and above will be sweet hunt with a bow, hope you do well.

You lucky SOB. You have found a honey hole. Those bucks will be right there next year. I have gone to some of my honey holes and as soon as I put up the Binos they are right there literally standing in the same patch of bushes. You have some great pics. Best of luck with the upcoming season.

I would be willing to bet if those bucks weren't killed then you'll see most of them back this year. All of them would be surprising but you'll probably recognize a few of them from last year.
