2B Archery Deer

hey guys my buddies and I drew 2B archery deer tags for January. This will be our first year hunting down there. What should we expect? Anyone that has hunted it before, please help me survive these next 6 1/2 months. Any info or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cold weather gear, snow chains, mud tires, and real good glass. Awesome country to hunt with potential to see a real good buck.

Bohntr is absolutely correct. Especially about the chains for your tires. They are not needed so much for the snow, but for the deep, thick mud. When it is not freezing in the afternoon, then what little snow has accumulated will melt and you will be in calf deep mud just about everywhere you walk, except on the main road.

And yes great glass opportunities and with some time spent behind the glass, you should see a few great bucks. The real trick is how to get within bow range. It is a fun hunt!
