Been sittin here all day watchin the outdoor channel since im stuck home with injuries and got me to thinking, why cant someone develop a mule deer only tv show? Call it Muley Madness or something like that..... just got bored and sick of whitetails all day.......

A muley only show?

I'd be all for it. Fact is, i'd like to be one of the showcased hunters Imagine, hunting some of the Wests best locations week in week out, taking 180+ bucks and making enough money to buy my own deer property in the process. One must have though, we'd need to have a female co-star...maybe one of those Hooters gals. I could show her the in's and out's of hunting the Big Muley ;-)

Not an all Mule Deer show but I did see that Mossback teamed up with Dead Down Wind for a show through Direct TV. I have not seen it as I do not have Direct TV but I am going to assume that it is heavily Western State based and will include lots of Muley action. We need more like that. I think I am going to switch from Cox to Direct just for their outdoor programs.

I have direct tv and watched the show the other day for the first time... It was pretty good, more our style hunting for sure... no more whitetale... This episode they got the Banana Bull and and nice mule deer... It was cool. There is room for more than 1 of those shows though...

I watch the outdoor channel all the time and when every a mule deer hunt comes on Ill watch that one over and over they should make more mule deer shows.

iliveinthewoods what was the name of the show? I would really like to see a DIY hunting show that features western hunting. Maybe a show that is similar to Cabela's in the way that the average hunter can submit their own videos. Just an idea.

did you guys ever see Majestic Outdoors? with Mike Bybee. man I loved that show. is it still on anymore? they had all the hunts that I was interested in...Elk, Mule Deer, Pronghorn & Moose, they also had some bear hunts and upland game but that show was the best in my opinion.

Majestic outdoors was a show out of Utah ,I belive Sunset, Utah.I liked that one too.
I always turn the channel when those white tail shows come on. They just sit on a field and wait. A little differnt then hunting mule deer . Its not just sitting ,a little harder to film. Mule deer country is a lot bigger then farmers field to farmers fields. ( or food plot to food plot )
In the old day all we had was Eastmans. Now we have a few more western hunting shows. Thank goodness

What about public land and over the counter tags... Their are hogs every year that are taken off general units... I am watching a toad right now that is already 180-190... Should go over 200... That would be a cool video! Over the counter tags, public land, and regular guys hunting...

What all does it take to get into something like that? Isn't there a license you have to get from the forest service to video hunts on public land? It sounds like a great idea, you would just need guys that would be willing to let you film their hunts every year, because one hunter couldn't draw enough tags every year to keep that going.

Mossback and others already do this. They just sell it to us on a cd. It cost to much to pay to get on the outdoor network. Makes it less profitable.

Im caught up in this Majestics outdoors rabbit hole right now after someone spread a rumor of them on here for poaching. But I just wanted to let you know that Mike is still doing the hunting stuff. Clear Creek Hunting is his outfitters name. I follow them on Instagram. They still put out a few shows every now and then.

Why do you care? You are dragging up posts from 14 years ago to defend the guy? You are literally causing more harm than good lol.
