montana region 6 and 7

anyone have experience hunting on the Block Management areas in these units good or bad? Have a mule deer general tag to burn this fall.

Tons of guys doin' the same thing. With the rut they are always movin' so some times its just right place right time. If you do Block Managment, try the ones that limit hunters and you call ahead and reserve a day or so..less pressure that way. Call the regional offices in Miles City or Glasgow for maps. Then get on Google earth and call the land owners when you get the specific detailed maps.

Lots of public land is available to hunt in these regions. The block management gets hit very hard. Head for the public land with a bunch of maps and some good optics if you are able to. I agree with Stuart that if you decide to do Block Mgmt, reserve your spots as soon as possible.
