RE: Rumors of 216" Muley from NV

It is not a "rumor", it scores 246 4/8 it has a 16 1/2" inside spread, it has a 21 1/2" outside spread. It has 9 on the left 7 on the right. The bases are 8" and 8 2/8 around.
Dad notes that it only took him 53 years to finally kill a big buck, although last years 214 wasn't too bad. he also states that both experiences have been humbling. thanks to all for the support and comments.

Happy Hunting

Cool to hear about this huge non-typical taken this year and can't wait to see the pictures.

However, the other buck I originally posted about, the potential 216"+ buck, has been rumored that it could be a new NV state record.

I'm anxious to hear about this other buck. Any info would be great.

Thanks

tcford,

I just received an email with the picture. So it's out there on the internet. I won't post it unless your Dad says it's OK.

Great buck. Congrats to him.

RE: Rumors of 216" Muley from NV

Looks like Greg is rewriting the record books for typicals this year with his clients. Two outstanding monster typicals. Bladed mass on the bigger on is oustanding and the burr points around the bases of the other are really cool looking.

Congratulations to Greg and his hunters!

Ulmer is a thing of the past. This NV buck is the real deal. Big congrats to JC and GK!! Although not suprised one bit, more a matter of when than if.

RE: Rumors of 216" Muley from NV

I hope he saves us a couple, my partner and I are set to go with Greg in the Oct. rifle season. As said before this post is worthless without pictures! This has got the fever started!

RE: Rumors of 216" Muley from NV

I have pictures of the 216" buck....and it is a TOAD!!!

I got them from a friend and I dont want to post them on here unless he gives permission. I can tell you that it was Jason Campbell out of St. George that killed the buck. It is NICE!

RE: Rumors of 216" Muley from NV

Congrats to the hunter that put him down.
Can't wait to see the pics. I'll be in Gregs camp on the rifle opener for the leftovers.

Pics of huge NV archery Muley's

These are just some cell phone pics. The good one's are not out yet.

Here's the email I received from Greg Krogh.....

Greg, here are the pics of the bucks from the archery hunt this past week in Nevada 231. Pat loescher, Jason Campbell and Myself spent all summer looking for these bucks and everything came together perfectly on the Hunt. Pat and I found the the 214 buck the same evening in Mid july from two different glassing knobs. After talking back at the vehicle about the location of the buck and what they were doing we decided that pat must have seen the big buck first because he was more in the dotted trees near his bed when he saw him. When I glassed him up he was more in the open away from the dotted trees. To say we were excited would be an understatement!!! there was no question this was going to be our number one buck. Four days before the hunt Jason and I decided to go check up on the number 2 buck. While we were watching him that evening We saw a bedded buck ten yards to his left that we had never seen before. We felt confident that we had another great buck to hunt, although there was some dissagreement as to which buck was better. Originally the plan was that Jason and I would hunt the first week and after he was done Pat and I would hunt the other buck. At the last minute Pat was able to break away from work and decided to hunt with his brother dave after the new buck. Jason made an incredible stalk on the second day and shot the big typical and Pat and his brother Dave were able to outsmart the other buck on the the third day. Sure is nice when everything comes together. I attached some pics of both bucks. Jason's Buck gross scores 214 5/8 with a 209 7/8 typical main frame. Pats buck is a 218 gross buck with a 204 main frame. The live buck in the photo was taken the morning after We first located the Jason's buck. Definately one of the funnest camps I have ever been in!!!
